Description

Boasting a fully-modular design, pressure-treated timber and incredible 25-year guarantee, Forest Beckwood Summerhouses are a premium range of beautifully-built summerhouses, expertly crafted to stand the test of time. This particular model is the 7’ x 5’ Double Door Apex Summer House (2.28m x 1.53m), and here’s what makes it special…

A Top-Quality, Fully-Modular Summer House

This 7x5 summer house is constructed in the UK from top-quality 12mm shiplap cladding, so is incredibly strong, supremely stylish and completely weathertight. Including a 28mm frame, this summerhouse's fully modular design means it comes with smaller panels but far more timber, making for an easier assembly and exceptionally sturdy build. This fully modular design also provides a market-leading choice of door and window placements, so the summerhouse can be customised to match exact requirements.

T & G Floor and Weatherproof Roof Cover

The floor is built from premium 12mm tongue and groove, so will easily cope with heavier summerhouse furniture and regular footfall. Pressure-treated bearers allow air to circulate underneath the summerhouse, protecting this key area from dampness and rot.

The 8mm solid sheet apex roof includes a green mineral felt cover for complete weatherproof protection. Diamond-shaped finials nicely round off this beautiful wooden summerhouse's extremely attractive appearance.

Doors and Windows

Glazed double doors offer easy access to the interior. They are fitted with sturdy handles, a tower bolt and turn buttons. Together with the 4 large, fixed windows, they provide the interior with an abundance of natural light. All of the glazing is acrylic, which is lightweight, shatterproof and far safer than conventional glass.

Maintenance Free with a Market-Leading Guarantee

The timber used to construct this summer house is FSC® certified, so only sourced from sustainable, well-managed forests. It is then pressure treated and supplied with a market-leading 25-year anti-rot guarantee, so further treatment against rot is never required, saving time and money.

White Glove Delivery

Forest's White Glove Service will deliver this summerhouse for free to most UK addresses, straight into the customer's garden, with all of the packaging removed. Clear instructions and a full set of fixings are included for a straightforward assembly.

Optional Upgrades

Optional upgrades include a professional installation service and pressure-treated summerhouse base.

Number 1 TreatmentNumber 1 Treatment

TREATMENT

Pressure treatment forces preservative deep inside the wood. The result is long-lasting protection against rot and fungal decay. There is no need to re-treat EVER, saving an estimated £200 in time and treatment costs compared to dip-treated summerhouses.

Number 2 FloorNumber 2 Floor

FLOOR

The robust and stable 12mm tongue and groove floor is elevated by pressure-treated joists for extra protection from ground moisture. Due to its thickness, a tongue and groove floor improves the summerhouse’s level of insulation and will neither buckle under the weight of heavier items nor regular footfall.

Number 3 CladdingNumber 3 Cladding

CLADDING & FRAMING

Built from interlocking 12mm shiplap tongue & groove boards, which are robust, durable and supremely weathertight. The tightly-interlocking boards come with a 28mm x 56mm frame, which is 30% thicker than most wooden summerhouses. This extra framing ensures even greater strength and stability.

Number 4 WindowsNumber 4 Windows

WINDOWS

Both the glazing on the doors and windows are made from lightweight acrylic, making them completely shatterproof and far safer than conventional glass. The fully modular design allows you a choice of door and window placements, helping you customise the summerhouse to your exact requirements.

Number 5 Wide Double DoorsNumber 5 Wide Double Doors

DOORS

Wide double doors offer you comfortable access to the interior. They are fitted with ¾-length windows so the summerhouse benefits from plenty of natural light. They come with sturdy handles, a tower bolt and turn buttons to keep them securely in place.

Number 6 Robust RoofNumber 6 Robust Roof

ROBUST ROOF

The 8mm OSB roof features a traditional apex design featuring a metal truss bracket that adds strength to the roof, and a green mineral felt cover gives you complete protection from the elements.

PRESSURE TREATMENT PROCESS EXPLAINED

The Pressure treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.

This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden summerhouse, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your summerhouse blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our pressure treated summer houses are only slightly more expensive than dip treated alternatives.

From The Supplier: Forest Garden

"We're proud to be the largest and most trusted manufacturer and distributor of garden timber products in the UK" - Forest Garden

Making British Gardens Great

At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.

With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.

Well made in Britain

The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.

All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.

Home Grown

We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.

Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.
