Construction

This premium, extra-large log cabin is constructed from 44mm slow-grown Nordic Spruce, tongue and groove boards, making for an exceptionally strong, long-lasting and stylish garden building. The chalet-cut design and added wind braces ensure unbeatable weatherproof protection.

Floor and Roof

The floor and pent roof are both made from 19mm tongue and groove, well-known for its weather resistance, durability and strength. The floor is supported by treated foundation joists for protection from ground moisture, while the generous roof overhang allows the customer to build a veranda, if desired (veranda not included).

Roof Covering Options

Please note that the roof does not include a covering. Buy SBS or EPDM as an optional extra.

(SBS is a thick, torch-on weatherproof felt with a very long lifespan. Installation should only be carried out by those with advanced DIY skills or a professional installer.

Doors and Windows

Easy access is gained through wide double doors, which are fitted with a stainless-steel sill, laminated frame, and key-operated cylinder lock to keep stored items safe. These doors also feature 2 extra-large windows, made from toughened double glazing.

Five extra-large windows allow even more natural light and ventilation into the garden room. They are double glazed with toughened glass too, fitted with water gutters, and open via a tilt and turn mechanism. They also include sliding side shutters, should privacy be required. Silicone rubber seals on both the door and window frames aid insulation and keep moisture out.

Assembly, Guarantee and Choice of Sizes

Supplied with a 5-year manufacturer’s parts guarantee and available in a range of sizes, this Palmako log cabin comes with installation instructions and a fixings kit. The chalet-cut timber boards simply slide together for a straightforward assembly.

Timber Treatment

This log cabin is made from FSC®-certified timber, which is only sourced from sustainable, well-managed forests. It is delivered untreated and should be coated in a high-quality wood preservative upon assembly, and annually thereafter, in order to protect the wood from rot and maintain its attractive appearance. Alternately, paint can be applied for a more individual style.
