Description

The 10x8 Champion Heavy Duty Apex Double Door Workshop is one of our most premium sheds, handcrafted from the highest quality Nordic White Spruce. Its 10x8 interior and elevated eaves create effective space throughout the building, whilst increasing the vertical storage options. This outdoor building can be used as an outdoor workshop, a secure space to store heavy-duty machinery and a durable place for protecting garden furniture and equipment from the elements.

The Champion range of custom made sheds and workshops are all built with premium quality materials. The roof, walls and floor are manufactured from high quality 12mm tongue and groove panels for a sturdy, long lasting build. The robust floor will easily support heavier items and has been fitted with integral runners for necessary elevation to avoid rot damage. Resilient 34x34mm framing and cross framing inside this strong shed provides long lasting support. This outdoor building has received a superior pressure treatment and is, therefore, guaranteed to resist rot and fungal decay for at least 15 years. It will not need to be re-treated, saving time and money.

Two windows with toughened glass provide natural light and open for ventilation. This model features quality ledged and braced double doors with integral rim lock for built-in security and hung with heavy duty galvanised hinges to complete this shed’s superior finish.

It is recommended that this building is constructed on a hard, flat surface such as decking or concrete.

SHED-PLUS CHAMPION HEAVY DUTY WORKSHOPS

THE FEATURES EXPLAINED

Buying a new shed is an investment in your home and garden. For just a little more than a dip treated shed, a pressure treated shed will offer added peace of mind and, in the long run, save you time and money. Our Shed-Plus Champion Heavy Duty Workshop Sheds offer this excellent treatment as well as lots of fantastic features for a superior shed.

Why buy pressure treated sheds? Our pressure treated sheds boast an impressive 15 year guarantee against rot and fungal decay. There is no need to re-treat the shed so, without the need for messy, expensive tubs of preservative and hours spent applying coats of paint, you can rest assured that your shed will be keeping its contents as dry and secure as when you first bought it.

Why buy Shed-Plus Champion sheds? In addition to premium pressure treatment, our Shed-Plus Champion workshop sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These design details include a mortice lock with key; a boarded wooden floor – rather than OBS – for extra strength and stability; security door hinges; and so much more. Look through the images below to find out more.

At Shedstore, we have a wide range of Shed Republic Champion sheds for you to explore. If you need any help, call us or use our online live chat to contact our friendly, UK-based customer service team.

EXTRA EAVES HEIGHT

EXTRA STORAGE

For a more pleasant work space and more practical storage space, Champion sheds feature an increased eaves height.

EASIER ACCESS

As a result of the raised eaves, the height of the doors has also been increased, providing easier access when manoeuvring larger items in and out of the shed.

  • Doors
    DOORS

The Champion range feature fully ledged, braced doors secured with heavy duty hinges. Additional framing to the doors eliminates the threat of them warping and sagging. Where many sheds only offer a hasp and staple, Champion workshops feature a superior integral ‘lock and key’ system for better, more convenient security.

  • Cladding
    CLADDING

Champion Workshops are manufactured from interlocking 12mm tongue and groove boards. Tongue and groove is renowned for its tight construction which offers greater protection against inclement British weather. This watertight build also offers increased strength and improved insulation.

  • Roof
    ROOF

Champion roofs also boast a robust 12mm tongue and groove timber construction, offering a reliable defence against the elements. The sheds are supplied with 20kg mineral felt, providing an effective water barrier with a smart finish.

  • Floor
    FLOOR

Prepared to take years of footfall and the weight of any heavier items you wish to store, the 12mm tongue and groove floor of each Champion shed offers both strength and insulation. It is also elevated by pre-fitted pressure treated floor joists, reducing damp and allowing airflow.

  • Framing
    FRAMING

A heavy duty 34x34mm frame supports the Champion shed’s robust 12mm tongue and groove cladding. Unlike many rival sheds, this is then diagonally braced to provide further stability for a long-lasting shed.

  • Windows
    WINDOWS

Wider than average shed windows, Champion windows are glazed with toughened safety glass for enhanced strength and insulation. With four different latch positions, the opening windows offer adjustable ventilation for the well-lit work space.

Pressure Treated

Tongue and Groove

Pressure Treatment Process Explained

The durable, robust nature of our Champion Workshops is further enhanced by the free pressure treatment that is applied across the range. Preservative is been forced into the timber at high pressure, increasing longevity and removing the need for annual re-treatment. The improved longevity is reflected by a brilliant 15-year guarantee against rot and fungal decay.

step 1 Vacuum

Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.

step 2 Flooded

Under vacuum pressure, the chamber is flooded with preservative.

step 3 Pressure

Hydraulic pressure forces preservative deep into the timber.

step 4 Vacuum

Excess preservative is extracted via another vacuum.

step 5 Dry

Under low pressure, the timber draws in surface excess of preservative and is then left to dry.

NO NEED TO RE-TREAT - SAVING YOU TIME AND MONEY!
