Description

The 12x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed is a large garden shed that doubles up as a workshop for craftsmen and hobbyists. The Shed is manufactured to a high quality ensuring long lasting happiness with your products.

The 12x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed holds a traditional style design with an apex roof that ensures rain runs of smoothly. The roof is topped with a black sand felt which increases the pace of run off as well as protecting your roof from water damage. The style of the roof also means that you have added head space inside for those who wish to work within the shed. The roof is fitted to the solid frame that provides the shed with its core stability.

The 12x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed then uses Overlap cladding which is cut from a strong slow grown timber and is then fitted to the frame creating the walls of your shed. These overlap panels fit on top of one another which leave no room for rain to run into the shed keeping the inside safe and dry. Inside you have will find the robust flooring which is made from 12mm solid sheet board that is supported by pressure treated floor joists that allows for storage of even bulky items.

The 12x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed has two doors on the front of the shed that makes accessing your storage incredibly easy. These doors are made from the same timber and have a padbolt that secures the door shut as well as space for a padlock to be fitted. This means you are able to secure your items and shed deterring theft overall.

The timber used in the construction of your 12x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed has been pressure treated, a process that forces a 15 year anti-rot guarantee on your items eliminating the need for retreatment within those years saving time and money. The shed has 6 unbreakable Polycarbonate windows for natural light which will never turn yellow or brittle over time and are secured in place by security screws.

Pressure treated overlap sheds

Why choose a pressure treated shed?

Buying a new shed is an investment in your home and garden. For just a little more than a dip treated shed, a pressure treated shed will offer added peace of mind and, in the long run, save you time and money.

Our pressure treated sheds boast an impressive 15 year guarantee against rot and fungal decay. There is no need to re-treat the shed so, without the need for messy, expensive tubs of preservative and hours spent applying coats of paint, you can rest assured that your shed will be keeping its contents as dry and secure as when you first bought it.

In addition to this premium treatment, our Forest branded sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These design details include a hasp and staple ready for your padlock or a mortice lock with key; a boarded wooden floor – rather than OBS – for extra strength and stability; security door hinges; and so much more.

At Shedstore, we have a wide range of pressure treated sheds for you to explore. If you need any help, call us or use our online live chat to contact our friendly, UK-based customer service team.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Pressure Treatment Process Explained

The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.

This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated Sheds are only slightly more expensive than our Dip Treated Sheds.

step 1 Vacuum

Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.

step 2 Flooded

Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.

step 3 Pressure

Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.

step 4 Vacuum

Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.

step 5 Dry

Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.

NO NEED TO RE-TREAT - SAVING YOU TIME AND MONEY!
