Description

If you are looking for a handy storage shed that will offer secure storage for a large capacity of outside goods, then look no further than this 8x6 overlap double door dip treated shed. The twin doors make storing the bulkier and wider items much easier as well as offering even more rustic charm to the shed.

The 8x6 overlap double door dip treated shed has been constructed to a very high quality using a tough timber to assure value. The shed is made using a thick 28mm framing of which an overlap cladding is fitted to create the walls of the shed. This overlap cladding gives the shed a traditional yet rustic appearance that is guaranteed to spark compliments.

It also assures you of protection from rain without breaking the bank. On the top an apex roof with extended 6ft eaves, sits and protects your shed from the rain. The mineral roofing felt maintains fast rain distribution. Inside you find the strong 9mm thick solid sheet OSB board flooring which can support all pressures easily.

The 8x6 Overlap double door dip treated shed has a single access point in the form of a set of double doors on the front of the shed. These doors are shut via a pad-bolt of which has space for a padlock (not supplied) and this will guarantee you a good level of security and deterrence from theft.

Two unbreakable Polycarbonate windows will provide enough natural light inside the shed and can be fitted on either side of the shed. Another fantastic feature of this 8x6 Overlap double door dip treated shed is that all the timber is dip treated which adds a ten-year anti-rot guarantee to the shed and stops the chance of rot providing it has been re-treated annually.

Once the 8x6 Overlap double door dip treated shed has been delivered it can be assembled in only a few hours due to the simple to follow instructions supplied.

  • 10 year guarantee against rot
  • Unbreakable Polycarbonate windows with security screws
  • 6 inch higher eaves than most other shed brands

Shed Base Option

Plastic Shed Base

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 8x6 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 20 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

What are the Benefits of a Dip Treated Shed?

For a shed that is cost-effective yet still long lasting, a dip treated shed is a dependable choice. Our Forest branded sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These features include additional diagonal framing for extra strong doors; hidden door hinges; a hasp and staple ready for your padlock; eaves 6” higher than other brands; and, if you opt for a shed with a window, the windows are made from unbreakable polycarbonate and attached with security screws.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Our Sheds

Our dip treated sheds have the more traditional preservative treatment that gives the familiar finish to wooden garden sheds. They do not need to be treated for the first 12 months and all come with a 10 year guarantee against rot, when supported with annual retreatment.

Competitors' Sheds

Pre-treated with a waterbase treatment that only protects the product for up to 3 months against mould. Recommended to treat upon installation and annually thereafter.

Dip Treatment Process Explained

Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.

After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you’re interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?

"We're proud to be the largest and most trusted manufacturer and distributor of garden timber products in the UK" - Forest Garden

Forest Logo

Making British Gardens Great

At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.

With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.

Forests

Home Grown

We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.

Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.

(Certification number TT-COC-001790, Issue date 5 March 2015)

Made in the UK

Well made in Britain

The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.

All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.
