Description

The 7x5 Dip Treated Overlap shed on offer here provides outstanding value and offers a secure area for all sorts of storage. The 7x5 Dip Treated Overlap Shed has been constructed meeting a tough code of requirements which provides you with a seriously tough shed.

The timber that has been used to make the shed has been given additional time to develop which gives you a much stronger build overall. The traditional design is not only attractive but can fit into any scenery easily. This outdoor has a solid core frame which allows for the overlap cladding to be fitted too. This overlap cladding is cheaper than standard cladding however it still provides great protection from the weather. The timber has been dip treated covering it with a protective layer that gives you ten years’ protection from rot and fungal decay providing it is re-treated annually.

The apex roof that the 7x5 Dip Treated Shed has, has been made from a solid OSB board that connects to the sheds walls and keeps weather out. The roof has been topped with a black mineral felt that increases the speed of run off and protects the timber from rot. The flooring is made from the same solid sheet board that allows you to store even the heaviest of items. The timber is supported by multiple pressure treated floor joists which enable you to store even the heaviest of storage.

A single front door allows easy access inside the shed and has a button latch that keeps it shut when not needed. We recommend adding a pad lock if you are storing expensive items as it will deter theft.

Assembling your 7x5 Dip Treated Shed takes only a few hours thanks to the straightforward design and easy to follow instructions.

  • 10 year guarantee against rot
  • Dip treated timber
  • Unbreakable Polycarbonate windows with security screws
  • 6 inch higher eaves than most other shed brands
  • All fixtures, fittings, felt and simple instructions are included
  • The barge boards are manufactured from smooth timber
  • Thick roof battens to provide additional strength
  • 8mm overlap cladding, 8mm-10mm solid sheet roof and floor and 28x28mm framing
  • And finally we have added a finial on the apex sheds simply to make them look better!

Shed Base Options

Wooden Shed Base

Wooden Shed Base Kit

As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution.

The wooden shed base consists of a framework that is made from UC4 incised timber which has been pressure treated. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years.

Plastic Shed Base

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 7x5 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 15 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

What are the Benefits of a Dip Treated Shed?

For a shed that is cost-effective yet still long lasting, a dip treated shed is a dependable choice. Our Forest branded sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These features include additional diagonal framing for extra strong doors; hidden door hinges; a hasp and staple ready for your padlock; eaves 6” higher than other brands; and, if you opt for a shed with a window, the windows are made from unbreakable polycarbonate and attached with security screws.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Our Sheds

Our dip treated sheds have the more traditional preservative treatment that gives the familiar finish to wooden garden sheds. They do not need to be treated for the first 12 months and all come with a 10 year guarantee against rot, when supported with annual retreatment.

Competitors' Sheds

Pre-treated with a waterbase treatment that only protects the product for up to 3 months against mould. Recommended to treat upon installation and annually thereafter.

Dip Treatment Process Explained

Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.

After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you’re interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?

Forest Logo

Making British Gardens Great

At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.

With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.

Forests

Home Grown

We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.

Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.

(Certification number TT-COC-001790, Issue date 5 March 2015)

Made in the UK

Well made in Britain

The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.

All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.
