Perfect for smaller gardens the 6x4 Overlap Apex Dip Treated Shed is compact and practical, ideal for general garden storage. The traditional apex roof gives the shed a traditional appearance and it also has smooth planed finial and barge boards to complete its attractive look.

The 6x4 Overlap Apex Dip Treated Shed is built using square cut overlap timber board which allows flexibility and movement. The timber used is FSC certified and is sustainably sourced. The roof is a durable sheet material that is finished with a weatherproof black sand roof felt that allows excellent water run off. The floor is also a solid hardwearing sheet material.

The single window is unbreakable Polycarbonate glazing, which will not become yellow or brittle over time, fixed with security screws. While the door on this 6x4 shed has safe and secure hidden door hinges with a plate hasp and staple latch, it is also braced with double “Z” framing for added strength which all make the shed more secure. It can also be hung on either side!

This shed carries a 10 year guarantee against rot and fungal decay, as long as it is isolated from the ground and receives regular treatment with timber preservative. Giving you a long lasting shed.

For a shed that is cost-effective yet still long lasting, a dip treated shed is a dependable choice.

Whether you need an outdoor storage solution for garden tools, DIY equipment, or outdoor toys, a dip treated shed will provide a reliable space. With just a top up of wood preservative once a year, our dip treated sheds are guaranteed for 10 years against rot and fungal decay. In just an hour or two each year, you can keep your shed looking fabulous and working hard.

On top of this guaranteed treatment, our Forest branded sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These features include additional diagonal framing for extra strong doors; hidden door hinges; a hasp and staple ready for your padlock; eaves 6” higher than other brands; and, if you opt for a shed with a window, the windows are made from unbreakable polycarbonate and attached with security screws.

Our Sheds

Our dip treated sheds have the more traditional preservative treatment that gives the familiar finish to wooden garden sheds. They do not need to be treated for the first 12 months and all come with a 10 year guarantee against rot, when supported with annual retreatment.

Competitors' Sheds

Pre-treated with a waterbase treatment that only protects the product for up to 3 months against mould. Recommended to treat upon installation and annually thereafter.

Dip Treatment Process Explained

Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.

After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you’re interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?
