Description
The 6' x 4' Forest Oakley Double Door Apex Summer House (1.99m x 1.24m) is easy to assemble, built to last and boasts extensive glazing to 3 sides, making it the perfect place to relax in a smaller garden.
HIGH-QUALITY MODULAR DESIGN AND BUILD
This small summer house is constructed in the UK from traditional 7mm straight-cut, overlapping boards, which allow for the natural movement of the timber and aid efficient rainwater run-off. Including a 28mm frame, this summerhouse’s modular design means it comes with smaller panels but far more timber, making for an easier assembly and exceptionally sturdy build.
FLOOR AND ROOF
The floor is built from 14mm solid timber boards, which can bear far more weight than standard OSB flooring. Pressure-treated bearers allow air to circulate underneath the summerhouse, protecting this key area from dampness and rot.
The 8mm solid sheet apex roof includes a premium mineral felt cover for complete weatherproof protection. A diamond-shaped finial nicely rounds off this beautiful wooden summerhouse’s extremely attractive appearance.
DOORS AND WINDOWS
Wide double doors offer easy access to the interior. They are fitted with handles, an internal bolt, exterior turn buttons and 3/4-length windows. Together with the 4 large, fixed windows, they provide the interior with an abundance of natural light. All of the glazing is acrylic, which is lightweight, shatterproof and far safer than conventional glass.
TREATMENT AND GUARANTEE
The timber used to construct this summer house is FSC®-certified, so only sourced from sustainable, well-managed forests. It is then pressure treated and supplied with a fantastic 15-year anti-rot guarantee, so no further treatment is required, saving time and money.
Clear instructions and a full set of fixings are included for a straightforward assembly.

Why choose a Forest Oakley Summerhouse?
What makes the Oakley Summer House range so special is that Forest have managed to combine a stylish, extensively-glazed design with an exceptionally robust structure, creating a summerhouse where you’ll love to spend time, with the added reassurance that it will last for years.
The Oakley’s modular design means your summerhouse is delivered in smaller sections but you get more wood, making for an easier assembly but stronger build. What’s more, with pressure-treated protection, the wood is not only guaranteed against rot for 15 years, there’s no need to retreat it, which saves you money and leaves you more time to relax in your summerhouse.

The best overlap summer houses we've ever made
FOREST - A BRAND YOU CAN TRUST
Every Oakley summer house is made in Great Britain from ethically-sourced, FSC®-certified wood, so you’re benefitting from highly-skilled workmanship, while being kind to the environment.
ROOF
The 8mm OSB roof comes in a traditional apex design and is fitted with a premium mineral felt cover to keep the interior dry. Smooth-planed barge boards and a diamond-shaped finial nicely round off an exceptionally attractive appearance.
Pressure treatment forces preservative deep inside the wood. The result is long-lasting protection against rot and fungal decay. There is no need to re-treat EVER, saving an estimated £200 in time and treatment costs compared to dip-treated summerhouses.
Far superior to standard summerhouses, the 14mm wooden boarded floor will withstand years of constant footfall and enables you to store heavier items. It is fitted with pressure-treated bearers too, improving air circulation underneath the summerhouse, which prevents damp and rot.
The straight-edge 7mm overlap cladding is a traditional style, which we all know and love. It is robust, durable and ensures excellent rainwater runoff. It is supported by a sturdy 28mm frame for even greater strength and solidity.
Both the glazing on the doors and the additional windows are made from crystal-clear acrylic, so will neither fade nor discolour in the sun. It is a lightweight material, completely shatterproof and far safer than conventional glass.
Wide double doors offer you comfortable access to the interior. They are fitted with ¾-length windows so the summerhouse benefits from plenty of natural light. Interior bolts and exterior turn buttons keep these doors secure, whatever the weather.
Some of these summerhouses include a veranda, which is partially enclosed by 2 elegant balustrades. This makes for a very impressive entrance and offers you a small, additional sheltered space.

Comes with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee.

Pressure Treatment. No need for annual retreatment.

Smaller sections make transportation and handling easy.

Quick and easy construction.
Pressure Treatment Process Explained
The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.
This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated summer houses are only slightly more expensive than our dip treated summer houses.

Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.

Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.

Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.

Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.

Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.
