A classic example of the Great British garden shed, the Overlap Dip Treated 6x4 Apex Shed Double Door provides everything needed to securely store garden tools and furniture. What’s more, this premium shed is built in the UK from eco-friendly timber.

Security is a key feature with this wooden shed. The doors have hidden hinges, are fitted with a hasp and staple closure (padlock not included), and are braced with a robust double-z frame. The windowless design provides further security.

Supported by a strong 28mm frame, the 7mm overlapping boards allow for the wood’s natural movement throughout the year, as well as assisting with water run-off. The 11mm OSB floor is incredibly robust, whilst the 8mm OSB roof enjoys a black sand felt covering and will keep the shed’s contents dry. Decorative barge boards and a smooth-planed finial round off a really handsome appearance. All of the timber used to construct this premium shed is sourced from sustainable, well-managed forests.

Coming with an excellent 10-year anti-rot warranty, this dip-treated wooden shed should be re-treated within 6 weeks of assembly and annually thereafter, in order to maximise its appearance and lifespan. Free delivery is available to most UK addresses.

Dip treated sheds

What are the Benefits of a Dip Treated Shed?

For a shed that is cost-effective yet still long lasting, a dip treated shed is a dependable choice.

Whether you need an outdoor storage solution for garden tools, DIY equipment, or outdoor toys, a dip treated shed will provide a reliable space. With just a top up of wood preservative once a year, our dip treated sheds are guaranteed for 10 years against rot and fungal decay. In just an hour or two each year, you can keep your shed looking fabulous and working hard.

On top of this guaranteed treatment, our Forest branded sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These features include additional diagonal framing for extra strong doors; hidden door hinges; a hasp and staple ready for your padlock; eaves 6” higher than other brands; and, if you opt for a shed with a window, the windows are made from unbreakable polycarbonate and attached with security screws.

At Shedstore, we have a wide range of dip treated sheds for you to explore. If you need any help, call us or use our online live chat to contact our friendly, UK-based customer service team.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Our Sheds

Our dip treated sheds have the more traditional preservative treatment that gives the familiar finish to wooden garden sheds. They do not need to be treated for the first 12 months and all come with a 10 year guarantee against rot, when supported with annual retreatment.

Dip Treatment Process Explained

Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.

After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly.
