Description

This version of the 6x8 Apex shed has been flipped onto its side and reverses a traditional shed which suits some garden shapes much better. Made from an attractive overlap timber design, the shed will compliment any garden easily.

The 6x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Reverse Apex has been manufactured using high quality materials which assures you the best for your money. The shed will be able to resist all harsh rain and remain strong through the worst of months. Slow grown timber has been used to create the shed which has been sourced from sustainable European forests.

The 6x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Reverse Shed gets its robust nature from the robust frame that is created thanks to the strong timber that has been used. The frame offers space for the overlap cladding to be fixed too, a formation that uses planks that overlap one another which then creates the weatherproof walls. This process keeps the costs down but still gives great protection. Remember too, the pressure treatment process that has been undertaken when building this shed forces a preservative deep into the timbers layers which then creates an amazing protection against rot and other harmful damage such as fungal build up. This pressure treatment lasts for no less than 15 years. During this time there is no need for any further retreatment saving you time and money overall.

In terms of roofing, an apex roof has been chosen for this reverse shed and this increases the available roof height inside the shed thus increasing storage. The roof is made from two OSB sheet boards that have been put together and conjoined and then topped with a roofing felt which not only prevents the roofing from becoming wet and rotting but speeds up the rate of rain run off. The same timber is used inside the shed and acts as a floor, supported by pressure treated timbers. This flooring allows you to store even the heaviest of tools and storage giving you peace of mind.

The 6x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Reverse Shed is designed with a single front door as well as two styrene windows for natural lighting. The front door has a button latch that allows you to secure the door shut and then we advise you add a padlock as it will reduce the chance of being targeted by theft etc. The windows being styrene removes the chance of injury from broken glass etc preventing harm to you.

Putting the 6x8 Pressure Treated Overlap Reverse Shed together is incredibly easy and takes only a few hours.

  • 15 year guarantee against rot
  • No need to retreat, saving you time and money
  • 6 inch higher eaves than most other shed brands
  • Timber boarded floor and a strengthened door with extra diagonal framing
  • Unbreakable Polycarbonate windows with security screws
  • Hidden door hinges and hasp and staple latch for extra security

  • Thick roof battens to provide additional strength

Shed Base Options

Wooden Shed Base

Wooden Shed Base Kit

As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution suitable for use on uneven ground.

The wooden shed base consists of a pressure treated framework and galvanised steel spikes. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years. Galvanised steel spikes are then secured to the framework. They are designed to sink straight into the ground, so installation is simple and quick.

Plastic Shed Base

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 8x6 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 20 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

Pressure treated overlap sheds

Why choose a pressure treated shed?

Buying a new shed is an investment in your home and garden. For just a little more than a dip treated shed, a pressure treated shed will offer added peace of mind and, in the long run, save you time and money.

In addition to premium pressure treatment, our Forest branded sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These design details include a hasp and staple ready for your padlock or a mortice lock with key; a boarded wooden floor – rather than OBS – for extra strength and stability; security door hinges; and so much more.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Our Sheds

Pressure treated to impregnate preservative deep into the wood. Re-treatment never required. Saves an average £200 in treatments and precious time.

Competitors' Sheds

Pre-treated with a waterbase treatment that only protects the product for up to 3 months against mould. Recommended to treat upon installation and annually thereafter. Therefore, when comparing costs, add about 4 hours of your valuable time and at least £25 a year for every re-treatment.

Pressure Treatment Process Explained

The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.

This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated Sheds are only slightly more expensive than our Dip Treated Sheds.

step 1 Vacuum

Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.

step 2 Flooded

Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.

step 3 Pressure

Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.

step 4 Vacuum

Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.

step 5 Dry

Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.

NO NEED TO RE-TREAT - SAVING YOU TIME AND MONEY!

Made in the UK

Well made in Britain

The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.
