Description

This fantastic 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap Reverse apex shed is a handy compact storage space for any size garden providing you with a place to store garden essentials.

The 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap shed has been designed following European requirements which ensure you with the most value for your money. The timber used is specially chosen for its fabulous quality and its attractive finish it offers.

The 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap  Resverse Apex Shed gets its amazing strength from the core frame which then the overlap cladding is then fitted too. Overlap cladding is a cheaper alternative to shiplap cladding however still offers premium protection when it comes to harsh weather.

Another fantastic feature of this 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap shed is that it has been pressure treated, a process that adds a tough level of protection to the timber and adds a 15-year protection to the timbers from rot and fungal decay.

An apex roof is fitted to the walls of this shed and keeps rain running off smooth and efficiently. The roof has been made from a combination of two OSB sheets which has been topped with a black sand roofing felt to offer protection from the elements. The roofing felt also prevents the timber from getting rotten and causing your storage harm. Inside you have the 8mm thick OSB floor that is supported by multiple pressure treated joists that enable you to keep heavy storage with ease.

Accessing the 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed is really easy thanks to the front door which opens outwards and keeps your storage away from the outside. The door can be shut using the butterfly catch and we advise that you add a padlock as it offers further protection from intruders

Assembling your 6x4 Pressure treated Overlap Shed takes only a few hours thanks to the straightforward design and easy to follow instructions.

  • 15 year guarantee against rot
  • No need to retreat, saving you time and money
  • 6 inch higher eaves than most other shed brands
  • OSB boarded floor and a strengthened door with extra diagonal framing
  • Hidden door hinges and hasp and staple latch for extra security

Shed Base Options

Wooden Shed Base

Wooden Shed Base Kit

As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution suitable for use on uneven ground.

The wooden shed base consists of a pressure treated framework and galvanised steel spikes. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years. Galvanised steel spikes are then secured to the framework. They are designed to sink straight into the ground, so installation is simple and quick.

Plastic Shed Base

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 6x4 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10m pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 12 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

Pressure treated overlap sheds

Why choose a pressure treated shed?

Buying a new shed is an investment in your home and garden. For just a little more than a dip treated shed, a pressure treated shed will offer added peace of mind and, in the long run, save you time and money.

In addition to premium pressure treatment, our Forest branded sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These design details include a hasp and staple ready for your padlock or a mortice lock with key; a boarded wooden floor – rather than OBS – for extra strength and stability; security door hinges; and so much more.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Our Sheds

Pressure treated to impregnate preservative deep into the wood. Re-treatment never required. Saves an average £200 in treatments and precious time.

Competitors' Sheds

Pre-treated with a waterbase treatment that only protects the product for up to 3 months against mould. Recommended to treat upon installation and annually thereafter. Therefore, when comparing costs, add about 4 hours of your valuable time and at least £25 a year for every re-treatment.

Pressure Treatment Process Explained

The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.

This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated Sheds are only slightly more expensive than our Dip Treated Sheds.

step 1 Vacuum

Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.

step 2 Flooded

Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.

step 3 Pressure

Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.

step 4 Vacuum

Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.

step 5 Dry

Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.

NO NEED TO RE-TREAT - SAVING YOU TIME AND MONEY!

Making British Gardens Great

At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.

With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.

Forests

Home Grown

We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.

Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.

(Certification number TT-COC-001790, Issue date 5 March 2015)

Made in the UK

Well made in Britain

The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.

All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.
