Description

This traditional 6x4 Reverse Apex Dip Treated Overlap Shed provides plenty of space for garden essentials keeping them safe and secure as well as offering an attractive addition to any garden. The 6x4 Reverse Apex Dip Treated Overlap Shed has been constructed following European guidelines to guarantee you the highest of quality for the price paid. The timber used has been slow grown for fantastic results and offers serious strength without breaking your budget. The shed takes the traditional design of a shed and reverses it which might suit your needs more as opposed to traditional.

The 6x4 Reverse Apex Dip Treated Overlap Shed gains its strong nature due the robust timber that has been used to create the frame, cladding, roof and floor. The strong core frame allows the overlap cladding to be fixed to it and provide a weatherproof build that allows you to store your items with peace of mind from danger. The timber has been given a protective coat by the manufacturer which adds extra value overall as it creates a strong defence to rot for no less than ten years.

The shed features a traditional apex roof which means storing long handled tools is easy as well as extra head height inside. The roof and flooring have both been made with OSB board which is an 8mm thick timber that finishes of the sheds solid build. To prevent the onset of rot on the roof a layer of mineral felting is applied to keep rain running of smooth and efficiently.

Your 6x4 Reverse Apex Dip Treated Overlap Shed can store heavy weights too thanks to the pressure treated floor joists that makes storing patio furniture and other heavy items really easy. Storing and retrieving your items is really easy thanks to the front door which features a latch lock that will keep it shut when not needed. We would advise you add a padlock to the shed if you are storing expensive items as it will deter theft. Building your 6x4 Reverse Apex Dip Treated Overlap Shed will take only a few hours thanks to the simple design and straightforward instructions.

  • 10 year guarantee against rot
  • Unbreakable Polycarbonate windows with security screws

Shed Base Options

Wooden Shed Base

Wooden Shed Base Kit

As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution suitable for use on uneven ground.

The wooden shed base consists of a pressure treated framework and galvanised steel spikes. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years. Galvanised steel spikes are then secured to the framework. They are designed to sink straight into the ground, so installation is simple and quick.

Plastic Shed Base

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 6x4 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10m pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 12 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

Competitors' Sheds

Dip Treatment Process Explained

Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.

After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you’re interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?
