Description

The 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed on offer here gives you a secure place to keep your small storage items without breaking the bank. The rustic charm that the overlap cladding provides will also guarantee to spark compliments in any garden.

The 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed has a traditional apex roof which increases the head height inside the shed making it easier to use inside as well as aiding rain to run off. The roof is made from a thick 8mm OSB board that is then topped with a black sand felt that protects from water damage and again allows rain to be distributed quick and efficiently. The roof is fitted to the strong interior frame that provides the shed with its core stability keeping it standing in even the harshest of weathers.

The timber used in the construction is a slow grown European timber walls. The overlap cladding is great for offering high quality protection whilst keeping to a budget. The flooring used is strong 16mm pressure treated boards that are supported by multiple pressure treated beams that allow you to store bikes, mowers and furniture with ease.

The 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed features one single door which opens outwards for easy access. The door has a pad-bolt which keeps the door shut when not in use and then a space for a padlock to be fitted which will secure the shed and minimise risk from intrusion. An unbreakable Polycarbonate window is fitted on the side of the shed which allows in natural light. It will never turn yellow or brittle over time and is secured with security screws.

The entire timber used in the process of creating your 6x4 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed has been pressure treated, a process that forces a preservative into the timbers layers which builds up a fifteen-year resistance to rot. This means you do not need to worry about re-treating the shed within that time period preventing hassle and costs.

Once delivered the 8x6 Pressure Treated Overlap Shed can be assembled in only a few hours thanks to not needing any complex tools. The simple instructions will outline just how easy it is to build and once standing you will not be disappointed.

Shed Base Options

Wooden Shed Base

Wooden Shed Base Kit

As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution suitable for use on uneven ground.

The wooden shed base consists of a pressure treated framework and galvanised steel spikes. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years. Galvanised steel spikes are then secured to the framework. They are designed to sink straight into the ground, so installation is simple and quick.

Plastic Shed Base

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 6x4 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 12 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

Pressure treated overlap sheds

Why choose a pressure treated shed?

Buying a new shed is an investment in your home and garden. For just a little more than a dip treated shed, a pressure treated shed will offer added peace of mind and, in the long run, save you time and money.

In addition to premium pressure treatment, our Forest branded sheds have a number of other great features to further enhance durability and security. These design details include a hasp and staple ready for your padlock or a mortice lock with key; a boarded wooden floor – rather than OBS – for extra strength and stability; security door hinges; and so much more.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Our Sheds

Pressure treated to impregnate preservative deep into the wood. Re-treatment never required. Saves an average £200 in treatments and precious time.

Competitors' Sheds

Pre-treated with a waterbase treatment that only protects the product for up to 3 months against mould. Recommended to treat upon installation and annually thereafter. Therefore, when comparing costs, add about 4 hours of your valuable time and at least £25 a year for every re-treatment.

Pressure Treatment Process Explained

The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.

This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated Sheds are only slightly more expensive than our Dip Treated Sheds.

step 1 Vacuum

Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.

step 2 Flooded

Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.

step 3 Pressure

Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.

step 4 Vacuum

Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.

step 5 Dry

Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.

NO NEED TO RE-TREAT - SAVING YOU TIME AND MONEY!
