The Forest 4x3 Overlap Dip Treated Apex Windowless Wooden Shed is part of The Better Shed Range from Forest Garden. This premium wooden shed features a clever modular design, which makes for easier assembly and a stronger garden storage shed.
Expertly designed and built by one of the UK's leading shed manufacturers, The Better Shed's intelligent modular design means it is delivered in smaller sections, making it far easier to assemble than other garden sheds. This modular design also results in more extensive 28mm shed framing, ensuring an incredibly robust structure and far greater resistance to warping.
The walls are constructed from 7mm overlap cladding, which allows the natural movement of the timber throughout the changing seasons and aids efficient rainwater run-off. Wherever the panels join together, cover strips are used to ensure the structure remains completely weathertight.
A 14mm pressure-treated solid timber floor with bearers not only provides a long-lasting, effective barrier against ground moisture, it allows for the storage of heavier tools and machinery too. The 8mm OSB apex roof is finished with felt, barge boards and a finial.
Access to the shed is gained via a single door, which can be hung with a left or right-hand opening, to suit the garden's orientation, and includes double-Z framing to prevent the door from dropping. Tamper-proof hidden hinges and a hasp and staple plate, designed for a padlock (padlock not included), help keep stored items safe, while the windowless design acts as an additional security measure. Once inside, high eaves offer plenty of headroom and make it easy to store taller items.
All of the timber is FSC®-certified, which is the only wood certification scheme endorsed by the major environmental charities. Not only robust, weatherproof and ethical, this garden shed's traditional design, smooth-planed barge boards and finial result in an incredibly attractive appearance.
Fixtures, fittings and clear instructions are included for a simple assembly, although a professional installation service is available to purchase as an optional upgrade. A pressure-treated shed base can be purchased as an optional extra too.
This wooden shed is supplied dip-treated and should be coated in a quality wood preservative annually in order to maintain its handsome appearance and validate the excellent 10-year anti-rot guarantee.

Why choose a Forest Overlap Dip Treated Shed?
When you buy a new shed, you want to invest in a shed that is robust, durable and practical. Forest Dip Treated sheds offer you all this along with great value for money.
Forest branded dip treated sheds have a number of features to ensure maximum durability and strength including boarded wooden floors, security door hinges, extra framing and so much more.
The best overlap sheds we've ever made
Same size panels are interchangeable - you can choose the window placement to suit your garden allowing flexibility for your garden design.
Doors can be positioned to the left or right of the shed. Single doors can be hung to be left- or right-hand opening.
Dip treatment coats the timber in a preservative which protects the wood from rot and fungal decay. When supported by annual applications, this treatment provides at least a decade of protection.
Strong 14mm pressure-treated boarded timber floor. This wooden floor is built to withstand storage of heavier items as well as years of footfall. The floor is further strengthened by pressure treated bearers. A timber floor is far superior to the OSB that comes with standard sheds.
The design of our sheds features more extensive framing than standard sheds. This results in a more robust build. Larger apex models also feature a metal truss bracket that adds further strength to the roof and ensures best alignment.
Straight edge overlap cladding provides consistency and strength as well as providing the traditional style we all know and love. The high-quality cladding means the panels are less likely to warp or develop gaps.
Our windows are glazed with shatterproof PET glazing, made from recycled materials, which will not yellow or become brittle over time. PET is more robust than the styrene used in standard sheds.
Our doors feature double Z bracing for extra strength, security and to prevent the doors dropping. This is superior to the basic ledge bracing on standard sheds. Our doors are also fitted with hidden security hinges and a padlock-ready hasp and staple.
Comes with a 10 year anti-rot guarantee.
Dip Treatment. Boards are dipped in anti-fungal solution.
Smaller sections make transportation and handling easy.
Quick and easy construction.
Dip Treatment Process Explained
Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it's removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.
After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you're interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?

Making British Gardens Great
At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.
With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.
We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.
Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.

Well made in Britain
The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.
All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.
Helping Everyone Thrive
We like to do our bit for charity and are proud to support Thrive. Thrive uses gardening as therapy to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or those who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable.
