Description

The 12x8 Double Door Dip Treated Shiplap Shed is a seriously impressive shed that will provide you with long lasting protection from the outside weather which damages storage.

This 12x8 shed is manufactured using materials that have been sourced for the amazing materials that not only produces an attractive build but amazing robust build that outweighs many more sheds on the market. The shed has a shiplap design that is an interlocking build that uses a slow grown timber that has been sourced from sustainable forests. The timber has even been treated by the manufacturer which is a base coat treatment that adds a ten year guarantee to the shed when you treat it annually.

This fantastic outdoor storage building uses shiplap cladding, a much stronger alternative to overlap cladding that uses interlocking panels for the walls. The timber frame that is used is a robust frame that the walls then are connected too and combined this produces the strong build. On the inside of the shed you find the the solid boarded flooring that is fitted to frame and enables even the heaviest of storage. The floor has been supported by flooring joists that eliminate the chances of the floor breaking and also stops rain harming the floor.

Your 12x8 Double Door Dip Treated Shiplap Shed uses an apex roof which has been selected as it allows more head height inside the shed and allows for fast and efficient rain run off. The apex roof is made from an OSB board which connects the roof to the frame and then is topped with a mineral roofing felt that helps protect the timber roof from rot. At the front of the shed you have the double doors that make accessing your storage much easier. These doors have a pad-bolt which enables you to shut the doors when not used and a pad-lock is able to be fitted to secure the shed and your storage.

Six windows are fitted on the side of the 12x8 Double Door Dip Treated Shiplap Shed which have been made from a polycarbonate glazing that is a much safer alternative to glass. The windows allow in plenty of natural lighting when offered and gives the shed a spacious feel.

In 3-5 hours this 12x8 Double Door Dip Treated Shiplap Shed can be assembled. The shed is not hard to build and with the instructions that are sent with the delivery you really have no hassle at all.

  • 10 year guarantee against rot
  • 6 inch higher eaves than most other shed brands
  • Timber boarded floor and a strengthened door with extra diagonal framing
  • Unbreakable Polycarbonate windows with security screws
  • Thick roof battens to provide additional strength
  • Hidden door hinges and hasp and staple latch for extra security
  • 12mmx121mm shiplap cladding, 8mm solid sheet roof and 28mmx28mm framing
  • The barge boards are manufactured from smooth timber
  • And finally we have added a finial on the apex sheds simply to make them look better!

Shed Base Option

Plastic Shed Base

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 12x8 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 40 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

Forest Logo

Making British Gardens Great

At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.

With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.

Forests

Home Grown

We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.

Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.

(Certification number TT-COC-001790, Issue date 5 March 2015)

Made in the UK

Well made in Britain

The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.

All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.
