The Hawklok Plastic Support Base Kit, from the Hawklok Base Kits range. Hawklok's unique set of specially engineered interlocking grids revolutionise how garden building bases can be laid. Made from 100% recycled and recyclable long life polypropylene, Hawklok, at 1.5kgs per grid (tile) and 60cm x 60cm x 4.5cm thick, is both lightweight and easy to handle. Using ground pressure principles the chosen site need only be reasonably firm but level. As with any project, the better the preparation the better the end result. Thus, Hawklok eliminates the need for concrete, slabs and lengthy excavations. By using Hawklok there'll be no base setting time required, as with this product you can form a base with this kit and erect your garden building in one continuous operation... no waiting necessary! The Hawklok range of plastic garden building bases offer a quick and easy solution to create a sound foundation for sheds, summerhouses, playhouses and wooden garden buildings in general. Supplied in a kit form comprising the interlocking tiles, connecting blocks and a weed control membrane, all for straightforward self-assembly.

Does it require any maintenance?
No. The material used is a long life co-polymer polypropylene. 100% recycled and recyclable plastic.

Can it be used upon sloping or uneven ground?
Yes. But some excavation work will need to be carried out to get your garden building base to as level as you require. The better the preperation the better the final result.

What if the ground is very hard?
A top dressing of builders sand will help. Firstly to save on excavation and secondly to help bed in the grids. Hawklok can be laid on to a concrete yard or patio, this is because the grids are free draining and self ventilating ensuring the floor of your garden building stays dry.

What if the ground is very soft?
A top dressing of builders sand will help along with 2 layers of Weedex membrane under the grids.

Can the grids be cut?
Yes, they can easily be cut using a hand saw.

Can it be re-used?
Yes.

What size building will Hawklok support?
Hawklok works on ground pressure principals, thus, the even weight distribution of the floor allows all sizes of standard garden building.
