10' x 6'6 (3.04 x 1.98m) Shire Guernsey Double Door Shed Reviews

StarStarStarStarStarGood shed as described with quick delivery, instruction sheet a poor photocopy but when followed worked as it should.
a Shedstore customer, Sunday 08th of April 2012
StarStarStarStarStarThe delivered shed was larger than you have declared. It is a Shire building and is 10ft x 7ft. Delivery was straightforward and it was easy to put together. The doors could have been more substantial and I have had to reinforce them with bracing timbers.
a Shedstore customer, Wednesday 28th of March 2012
StarStarStarStarStarDelighted with shed and the delivery but the only complaint I have is the size of the instructions I had to go and purchase a magnifying glass to read them other than that more than happy and have in fact recommended Shedstore to friends of mine. Thanks.

StarStarStarStarStarVery pleased with the service from sales, delivery and construction.
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 20th of March 2012
StarStarStarStarStarExcellent quality at a very reasonable price. So glad I got this instead of the rubbish down the local DIY store. Delivery was swift, quality great and customer services was brilliant when I found one part missing.
a Shedstore customer, Monday 19th of March 2012
StarStarStarStarStarA very nice shed for the price. The nice features are a double front door. proper framed windows. No lip at the entrance to make it easy to sweep out. Good timber was supplied. This shed needs two people to build. It should take a day to assemble. The instructions are best downloaded from the manuals site (be careful to get the right instructions) so they are easier to read. Remember to treat the floor panels before assembly.

StarStarStarStarStarFantastic price, really cool product, excellent for its intended purpose... a Mancave! somewhere I can escape, read the Sunday papers in peace, and have the lads round for a game of poker, yeah baby!!

StarStarStarStarStarI was well pleased with the Shire Guernsey Double Door Shed, it was easy to erected and the instructions were a great help, but the delivery arrangements was ‘hell’. Ten phone calls and three E-Mails to get some kind of delivery date…I understand that Shire’s was having some kind of problem with their delivery service …I hope that they have now sorted it out.
a Shedstore customer, Friday 01st of July 2011
StarStarStarStarStarI am very pleased with the service delivery and quality of my shed. Having said that as im over 6ft tall i made a modification. I found it neccesary to raise the whole shed by 4inches by sitting it on 4x2 in presure treated timber from my local timber yard a bargain at £19.00 which has made it much more comfortable no bending, I think this would be a valuable option for you to provide. many thanks.
a Shedstore customer, Wednesday 23rd of March 2011
StarStarStarStarStarWe are well pleased with the shed it is up and running . We were a bit disappointed in the time it took to deliver we waited 28 days
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 22nd of March 2011
StarStarStarStarStarShed is great nice heavy panels and worth £390. Not impressed with delivery arrangements though. Order shed 5th Jan and asked for it beginning of Feb to give me time to prepare ground even though typical delivery time was 15 days, I gave them 30 odd. They didn't delivery it until 23rd Feb which was disappointing.
a Shedstore customer, Wednesday 09th of March 2011
StarStarStarStarStarCompletely satisfied
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 08th of March 2011
StarStarStarStarStarDelivery was not as promised being overdue from advertised time frame.
a Shedstore customer, Thursday 03rd of March 2011
StarStarStarStarStarGood price. Easy erection. Looks stunning in green with cedar painted window frames. My only criticism is the base dimensions for a concrete base really should not be greater than the base itself so that any water can drain straight off and not sit on a slightly too big base. Also I think 3 tubes of brown silicon sealant and a cheap squeeze gun should be in the kit, a fivers worth but useful. Very very happy thanks.
a Shedstore customer, Saturday 26th of February 2011
StarStarStarStarStarThe shed was completely as described and looks good in the garden now that it's up. A small mishap in that the glazing wasn't delivered at the time but when i phoned it was not an issue and they immediately sent it out by fedex. The shed was value for money but if you get the basecoated version then you should get some preserver on it ASAP. I built it in 2 days but i'm sure if you're fairly handy it can be done in a day. TIP: make sure your base is perfectly level and corners are square as it will pay off when installing the roof panels.
a Shedstore customer, Friday 04th of February 2011
StarStarStarStarStarGood quality shed plenty of bits, all parts present and correct, very good communications, no problems. can recommend.
a Shedstore customer, Monday 17th of January 2011
StarStarStarStarStarGood quality shed, using shed as workshop.
a Shedstore customer, Saturday 15th of January 2011
StarStarStarStarStarIt's pretty flimsy (though by far not the flimsiest available) stuff, as expected after comparing and enquiring, but especially as it was on sale it's not a bad deal, it's a shed, not a summer house, with a reasonably intelligent though somewhat laborious construction. Also as expected the first deliver was cancelled ('van broke down') and some of the parts were so warped or holed and a couple missing, so I had to order replacements which was fairly painless (i.e. customer service at shedstore worked). I picked the Shire line because they have proper glassed opening windows (no other shed in this price range seems to be doing them). The Shire factory guys answered the phone (number on instructions) and measured some stuff for me and advised on base. So if you don't expect a straight run and particularly even and solid quality, and certainly if it's on sale, it's fine. (And consider the work and money that's going into priming/waterproofing/painting it, that turned out to be the major part of the work of setting it up, I'd probably spent more and get a tanalised version next time.)
a Shedstore customer, Thursday 18th of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarA first class product. Excellent communications with the company. The shed looks more like a garden building than a shed. Assembly was fairly time consuming, I had previously down loaded the instructions which helped a great deal.
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 16th of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarFor the price, an excellent product. As I think has been said before, instructions could be clearer. But with a little thought all went together very well. Happy with delivery arrangements. All in all happy with our purchase. Would recommend.
a Shedstore customer, Monday 15th of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarThe shed is fine, and this is a useful size for a shed containing a fair amount of stuff. The price is also very competitive. We opted for the assembly service. Two men had the shed erected in less than a couple of hours - it would have taken me at least a weekend, so I consider it money well spent. The only issues are: the doors are not terribly strong and one is warped; one window stay was missing and the men shoved a screw in its place, which is unacceptable; the roof is made of composition board, and ideally it should be planked, but at this price it's clear that some corners have to be cut. The service received from Shedstore was perfectly okay. By the way, the finished shed looks very nice in green, and basically we're pretty happy with it.
a Shedstore customer, Friday 12th of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarMy shed is now up and ready to use. Very pleased with the finished product.
a Shedstore customer, Thursday 11th of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarBest to print instructions from website as they are larger and easier to read, but as recommended, read the supplied ones as well in case of updates. Had difficulty in getting the trusses to support correctly, ended up bracing the trusses with a side plate from plywood therefore making them far sturdier. We missed the initial section which recommends silicon sealant between the wall panels and between wall panels and floor. Will make a plan as we're only half finished. There are two sets of truss supports. All positioned 75mm from the top edge of the wall panels. The set that support the middle of the long (2020) roof bearers can be positioned on either panel frame, however the truss where the long and short roof bearers meet needs to be positioned more carefully. Placing the supports too much to the left or right and the roof bearer joints won't line up with the truss for support and screwing. Roof bearers should have been supplied the full length of the shed to overcome this minor problem. Other than that a great shed.
a Shedstore customer, Sunday 07th of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarSatisfied with product only problem i found was the instrutions too small to read, printed on very small instruction sheet. i had one piece of the roof structure broken, this was replaced within 3 days of reporting it. Satisfied
a Shedstore customer, Saturday 06th of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarHi, I found the shed very good. There was just one problem with the doors when shuting they dont fit,
they are bent. So to cure this problem I fitted a locking bolt to the opening door on the top of the door.
a Shedstore customer, Wednesday 03rd of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarCame much sooner than we anticipated, it was a good days work to erect but the end result was truly fantastic! Definately recommend this shed and site to friends, only one tiny complaint, one of the window catches was missing, i could have asked for another to be sent but decided to get a replacement from my local diy outlet.
a Shedstore customer, Monday 01st of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarOverall the finish and quality of timber is good, only a few pieces with holes from knots, but otherwise the construction was straightforward, I spread this over a few days becuase I have M.E. but still found it easy to assemble, but the ground must be flat and level, I put a layer of bricks under mine, so that the base is kept of standing water, the colour is exactly as the photo online, but because of my personal use for the shed, double doors was not the best choice, but this was the best size and design at a price we could afford, but I modified the doors and cable walls, which was made a bit easier as I was linining the inside to not only add extra insulation but also strength. Would recommend shed
a Shedstore customer, Monday 01st of November 2010
StarStarStarStarStarA very nice shed, easy to construct and all that I wanted and better than I expected.
a Shedstore customer, Wednesday 27th of October 2010
StarStarStarStarStarPretty good quality. Took much more assembly than expected - more than other sheds i have put up. If you're prepared for that then i would recommend this shed.
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 26th of October 2010
StarStarStarStarStarA very nice shed that just needs a few extra pieces of wood and some more screws to finish it properly. The Padbolt is no longer supplied, this has been replaced by a Hasp & Staple that would not look out of place on a dolls house. Instructions supplied need a magnifying glass to see, I downloaded them from Shedstore and printed them on A3, the pictures printed clear and made the assembly so much easier.
a Shedstore customer, Monday 25th of October 2010
StarStarStarStarStarGood price, great service, would recommend to friends straightorward to build
a Shedstore customer, Sunday 24th of October 2010
StarStarStarStarStarGreat value for money. Only one minor fault is the lack of under floor joists that run the full length so its vital that you place paving slabs underneath rather than spaced concrete blocks (Shedstore comment: always lay a full solid paving or concrete base; spaced blocks only offer insufficient support). Paint before erection and purchase extra 3 inch screws. I'd also recommend glueing the windows into place using strong exterior wood glue as nailing next to sheets of thin glass can be a bit hairy!
a Shedstore customer, Friday 22nd of October 2010
StarStarStarStarStarShed arrived on time and was complete and undamaged. Easily manageable modular sections which fitted well together, not quite enough screws and nails and floor could do with more bracing but those are minor niggles. Overall excellent value for money
a Shedstore customer, Friday 22nd of October 2010
StarStarStarStarStarGood quality shed for the price, very solid once assembled. Instructions weren't clear at times and images are too small. Roof felt is rolled too tightly so ends up being wavy when fitted. My pack was short of nails. Delivery also arrived a day early but was carried to my back garden which was helpful. Overall pleased with product just some room for improvement.
a Shedstore customer, Friday 01st of October 2010
StarStarStarStarStarinstructions could have been a bit clearer but for the money a great shed.++
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 21st of September 2010
StarStarStarStarStarExcellent value for money. Needed a bit more assembly than the average flat pack shed but this results in an extremely rigid structure that is easy to put up on your own.
a Shedstore customer, Sunday 19th of September 2010
StarStarStarStarStarValue for money i thought. Had someone build it for me so can't comment too much on puting it up other than few nails and screws short. Good size.
a Shedstore customer, Sunday 19th of September 2010
StarStarStarStarStarNot bad value considering the price. Roofing felt was torn, but didn't realise until a few days later when building the shed. Rang up and a replacement was sent without any fuss, so good customer service.
a Shedstore customer, Wednesday 15th of September 2010
StarStarStarStarStarGreat shed, I only wish I had got a bigger version now! Had minor issue with parts but they were sorted out with no issues or aggrevation. Good customer care too, would recommend them anyone.
a Shedstore customer, Wednesday 15th of September 2010
StarStarStarStarStarDelivery great, took me a week to install, all fittings delivered and just enough, doors could be more substantial. Male, aged 70
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 14th of September 2010
StarStarStarStarStarPrice: Decent for the standard of the product. Delivery: Very quick, 5 days to be precise. All stacked in my garden well with no damage to anything in my garden. Parts: Everything accounted for, some of the wood was split but nothing too serious. The roof felt comes in 2 roles, a larger one for the lower parts of the roof and a smaller one for the middle of the roof. Only just enough felt to cover the whole roof efficiently. Smaller role needs to be wider. Assemble: Fairly simple, the instructions could have been slightly better and more detailed but it didn't really hinder assembly. Now its up: Very solid, dry, secure, workable. Overall: Very pleased, only major gripe is with the amount of felt.
a Shedstore customer, Thursday 09th of September 2010
StarStarStarStarStarGreat shed. The instructions are confusing and the pictures too small to see. This makes it very frustrating for someone who hasn't built a shed before. It would be extremely helpful to have the instructions online with better quality pictures which would make life a lot easier for the first-time shed builder as myself. Besides that and the confusion with the delivery dates, the shed is great. Thank you.
a Shedstore customer, Sunday 05th of September 2010
StarStarStarStarStarThe shed arrived as arranged and delivery was effortless. The construction went without a hitch and all parts were there. Very pleased
a Shedstore customer, Monday 30th of August 2010
StarStarStarStarStarAfter a bit sticky start of it not arriving on the day it was supposed to, when it did arrive was very pleased with it looks really good, was easy to assemble with two of us and the quality very good can't fault the shed or service
a Shedstore customer, Saturday 07th of August 2010
StarStarStarStarStarShed is very good instructions need to be printed larger with clearer pictures as you have to build from very small and many pieces. Very good shed once assembled
a Shedstore customer, Friday 06th of August 2010
StarStarStarStarStarCould do with more clear instructions and definitely need extra height if you're tall - I just screwed 3x2's to the base before installing the walls but I am being picky for the money this is an excellent, big, nice looking shed
a Shedstore customer, Thursday 05th of August 2010
StarStarStarStarStarGreat value and good quality. Very pleased with the result.
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 03rd of August 2010
StarStarStarStarStarThis shed was delivered and checked by your driver as promised perfect. It was assembled by myself according to your instructions, this also was perfect even down to the right number of items and accessories. Absolute value for money.Well done to the Shedstore team.
a Shedstore customer, Monday 02nd of August 2010
StarStarStarStarStarShed is great size and does come with everything you need. The instructions have a couple of steps out of place so take a good read of them before you start but its easy enough. I read a comment about security and so replaced the hinges and door slide bolt for stronger ones and the normal bolts to coach bolts for extra security.
a Shedstore customer, Tuesday 13th of July 2010
StarStarStarStarStarFound shed easy to erect. Good instructions helpful having photos to follow. Happy with end result a solid well thought out shed.
